TechFlow news, October 5 — According to Bitcoin.com, James Lavish, managing partner at Bitcoin Opportunity Fund, said that when institutions start buying bitcoin, they aren't price-sensitive like you and I. Instead, they look at their portfolios, decide on an allocation, hand the order to a trader, and say "go long" (with volume), buying whatever amount is needed. These purchases range from as little as one million to hundreds of millions of dollars, enabling bitcoin to enter new price phases with strong demand. "As demand seeks volume, volume in turn seeks price—regardless of what that price may be," Lavish concluded.
