TechFlow, October 3 — According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' government shutdown contingency plan, the agency will suspend all operations and not release economic data during a government shutdown. The nonfarm payrolls report originally scheduled for release tonight at 8:30 PM will be affected. Previously, the weekly jobless claims report scheduled for Thursday was not released. CNN reported that the Bureau had already collected September's nonfarm payroll data and might be ready to publish it. However, the Bureau has not responded to the report. (Jinshi)
