TechFlow reported on October 1 that, according to Cointelegraph, European crypto asset management firm CoinShares announced its plan to acquire London-based crypto investment management company Bastion Asset Management as part of its strategy to expand cryptocurrency investment products in the U.S.
The transaction is subject to approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and will fully integrate Bastion's trading capabilities, strategies, and team into the CoinShares platform. CoinShares stated that combining Bastion's systematic trading expertise with its 1940 Act registration status would enable the development of actively managed products for the U.S. market that go beyond simple directional crypto exposure.
