TechFlow, September 30 — According to CoinDesk, payments giant Stripe unveiled its stablecoin issuance platform "Open Issuance" and AI commerce tools at an event in New York today. The platform enables companies to issue their own stablecoins via simple code integration, with CASH—the token from crypto wallet Phantom—as its first partner. The platform is powered by Bridge, a Stripe subsidiary, while reserve assets will be managed by institutions including BlackRock. Additionally, Stripe has partnered with OpenAI to develop the "Agentic Commerce Protocol," offering merchants AI-powered payment solutions. Stripe President Will Gaybrick stated that the convergence of stablecoins and AI will usher in a new era of the online economy.
