TechFlow news, September 30 — According to Sunil, representative of FTX creditors, FTX distributed $1.6 billion in funds to creditors today. The specific distribution plan is as follows:
For creditors with claims exceeding $50,000, who had previously received 5.7% compensation on May 30, an additional 72.5% compensation was distributed today, bringing the total cumulative compensation to 78.2%.
For creditors with claims under $50,000, who had not received any prior compensation, a one-time payment of 120.5% compensation was made today.
U.S. creditors received 40% compensation today.
In aggregate, the overall creditor recovery rate reaches 95%. Sunil emphasized that the amount distributed today is $1.6 billion, not the previously rumored $5 billion.
