TechFlow news, September 29 — According to Theblock, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced the suspension of his re-election campaign, citing media speculation and difficulties in fundraising.
Adams is an active supporter of cryptocurrency, having received his first three salaries in bitcoin and convened local crypto companies for summits. In his statement withdrawing from the race, Adams did not endorse any of his main opponents, including Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa.
