At 10:30 a.m. local time on September 29, Qian Zhimin, the main suspect in Britain's largest bitcoin money laundering case and the major illegal fundraising case involving Tianjin-based Blue Skies Great Reach (Lantian Ge Rui), will appear in court here for trial.
The trial is expected to last 12 weeks and conclude before Christmas. During this period, Chinese investigating police officers will travel to London to testify in person, while several Chinese victims will testify remotely via video link from a court in Tianjin. These arrangements have been made under the framework of judicial cooperation between China and the UK.
