Following strategic investments announced by OKX Ventures and HashKey Capital, CAEX today announced it has signed a Strategic Technology Partnership Agreement with HashKey Digital Asset Group, a subsidiary of HashKey Holdings Limited (HKEX: 3887.HK). Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly build and launch a flagship, fully licensed digital asset exchange tailored specifically for the Vietnamese market. To formally commence this collaboration, HashKey and CAEX will hold a signing ceremony during Hong Kong Web3 Festival on April 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM HKT.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing CAEX’s mission—to establish a secure, compliant, institutional-grade digital asset trading platform fully aligned with Vietnam’s increasingly mature regulatory framework. By deeply integrating HashKey’s global expertise in regulated digital asset infrastructure with CAEX’s leadership position and regulatory compliance strengths in the local market, the collaboration further strengthens the foundation for Vietnam’s regulated digital asset market. Together, the two parties will build an internationally benchmarked exchange platform that comprehensively fulfills all licensing requirements under Vietnam’s cryptocurrency regulatory regime.
Under the agreement, HashKey will serve as CAEX’s core technology partner and grant CAEX an exclusive license to deploy its institutional-grade exchange technology within Vietnam, providing foundational technical support for CAEX’s digital asset trading operations. HashKey will deliver end-to-end support across platform architecture, security safeguards, and compliance frameworks, and lead a dedicated R&D initiative to develop a deeply customized, fully localized exchange platform for CAEX. The collaboration will be implemented in phases: Phase One will focus on building core trading infrastructure, refining compliance and risk management systems, and fulfilling regulatory requirements; subsequent phases will involve continuous iteration and gradual rollout of advanced features and services.
