Binance launches new community governance mechanism introducing "vote for listing" and "vote for delisting"
According to an official announcement, Binance has launched a new community governance mechanism allowing users to participate in decisions regarding the listing and delisting of digital assets. The platform will introduce two major mechanisms: "voting for listings" and "voting for delistings." Users holding at least 0.01 BNB will be eligible to vote. Binance stated that when projects have dedicated listing budgets, the platform will disclose this information in its listing announcements and distribute these tokens to users through various airdrop formats, emphasizing that Binance does not charge any listing fees. Additionally, exclusive TGE (Token Generation Event) projects from Binance Wallet will be directly admitted into Binance Alpha Watchlist. The announcement provides detailed descriptions of Binance's multiple listing channels.
TechFlow News — On March 7, Binance announced a new community governance mechanism allowing users to participate in digital asset listing and delisting decisions. The exchange will introduce two key mechanisms: "Vote-to-List" and "Vote-to-Delist." Users holding at least 0.01 BNB will be eligible to vote.
Binance stated that when projects have dedicated listing budgets, the platform will disclose this in its listing announcements and distribute such tokens to users through various airdrop formats, emphasizing that Binance does not charge any listing fees. Furthermore, exclusive Token Generation Event (TGE) projects from Binance Wallet will be directly added to Binance Alpha Watchlist.
The announcement detailed Binance’s multiple listing channels, including Launchpool, Megadrop, HODLer Airdrops, direct spot listings, and pre-market trading. Binance will also remove the previously implemented price restriction mechanism designed for pre-market trading. For the Alpha Watchlist, Binance's listing team will continuously monitor project performance to assess listing potential and may simultaneously remove multiple Alpha Zone tokens showing declining performance and demand.
