Navigating Web3 tides with focused insightsOn February 18, 2025, the highly anticipated Solana Hong Kong Summit officially kicked off. As a major event for the Solana ecosystem in Asia, this summit brought together top developers, investment institutions, and ecosystem project representatives to explore and envision the future of the Solana ecosystem. Jeff Ren, Partner at OKX Ventures, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech.
Lily Liu, Chairwoman of the Solana Foundation, opened the summit. In her opening remarks, Lily reviewed the explosive growth of Solana's Mandarin-speaking market (MCM) from 2023 to present. Through diverse online and offline events, as well as the advancement of Solar, remarkable progress has been made in community size, developer engagement, and funding raised by community projects. "What’s Next?" Lily expressed her hope for achieving tenfold growth in overall community scale, network performance, and Solar contributors in the future.
Following Lily’s vision, Jeff Ren, Partner at OKX Ventures, took the stage as the opening keynote speaker, sharing OKX’s vision for deep collaboration with the Solana ecosystem. Jeff emphasized that OKX Wallet serves as a one-stop gateway to Web3, while OKX Ventures is deeply engaged within the industry ecosystem. He stated that through dual drivers—product innovation and strategic investments—OKX aims to continuously empower Solana’s users and developers.
In his speech, Jeff outlined three key areas for future collaboration between OKX and the Solana ecosystem:

OKX will strengthen its partnership with Solana by boosting joint marketing efforts, collaborating with KOLs, hosting hackathons, and organizing developer bootcamps to enhance Solana’s brand presence in Mandarin-speaking markets. At the same time, through collaborative initiatives, top-tier institutions and ecosystem projects will be connected, driving OKX Wallet into global markets and building a “Web3 super gateway.”
2. Comprehensive Support for Ecosystem Projects
OKX aims to provide comprehensive support for Solana-based projects, including technical integration, liquidity solutions, and resource alignment, helping high-quality projects accelerate their growth and jointly build a thriving ecosystem. On the wallet front, enhancements will be made to DeFi Earn and Solana Eco Hub, adding features such as on-chain data analytics and ecosystem entry points.
3. Stablecoin Applications: New Opportunities in Payments and DeFi on Solana
Stablecoins represent one of the most important real-world applications of blockchain technology, and Solana provides an ideal environment for stablecoin adoption. In 2025, both parties will focus on scaling stablecoin use cases across payments, DeFi, and beyond on the Solana network.
