Another meme coin miracle delivering thousand-fold returns has emerged.
Just a Chill Guy—a popular TikTok meme—has been brought on-chain by crypto enthusiasts, skyrocketing to a market cap exceeding $500 million within days.
Smart money players in the meme coin space have cashed in big time. One trader turned an initial investment of $1,000 into over $1 million in less than a week.

Just a Chill Guy (CHILLGUY) is a meme coin built on the Solana blockchain, based on a character created in 2023 by artist Phillip Banks. The anthropomorphic figure wears a hoodie, jeans, and sneakers, hands in pockets, exuding a calm and relaxed demeanor.
The character went viral on TikTok, beloved by Gen Z users, becoming a spiritual icon for young people today, symbolizing a laid-back, stress-free lifestyle.

In just a few days, CHILLGUY’s market cap surged from $10 million on Monday to $488 million at the time of writing. On-chain data shows that one lucky trader seized the opportunity, turning over $1,000 into more than $1 million in profits.
A wallet starting with “9zW” invested $233.89 when CHILLGUY first launched on Pump.fun, when the token’s market cap was just under $11,000. Over the next 30 hours, the coin surged over 38,800%, reaching a market cap of approximately $4.4 million. During this period, the trader first cashed out $16,200 through four transactions.
In the following days, after a brief pullback, the price rose again—though only by 180% compared to its previous peak. During this phase, the trader added another $867.35 across three purchases, bringing their total cost basis to around $1,101.24, though much of this likely came from earlier profits.
TikTok isn't primarily a crypto platform, but CHILLGUY's breakout has led many traders to believe that new users are entering the cryptocurrency space—and perhaps they really are.
Tuesday marked the beginning of CHILLGUY’s surge. A MoonPay spokesperson told Decrypt it was a record-breaking day for Solana transaction volume, indicating more people than ever were using its services to fund accounts in the Solana ecosystem.
As waves of new investors poured in, CHILLGUY exploded Tuesday and Wednesday, soaring from a $11.5 million to a $488 million market cap—an increase of over 4,000%.
Over those two days, the lucky trader continued selling portions of their holdings. At the time of writing, according to DEX Screener data, the wallet has sold $411,500 worth of CHILLGUY, while still holding nearly $700,000 worth of the token.

This brings the wallet’s unrealized gains to over $1.05 million. However, due to the extreme volatility of meme coins, these profits remain unrealized. If market sentiment shifts, these paper gains could vanish in an instant.
Besides CHILLGUY, the wallet also holds over $100,000 in derivative tokens, along with $13,700 worth of the AI-themed meme coin Goatseus Maximus (GOAT).
Despite the token’s popularity, its creator wants nothing to do with the hype. He tweeted: "I do not support / do not endorse my artwork being used for anything related to cryptocurrency. Please stop contacting me."
He later set his Twitter account to private to avoid further DMs.

Nevertheless, several NFT collections “paying tribute” to CHILLGUY have launched, one of which has a floor price of 3 SOL (about $700). Additionally, numerous derivative meme coins have emerged, including tokens based on other characters created by Banks—such as Worried Guy (WORRIEDGUY), which Banks himself dubbed a “flopcoin” after it failed to break a $100,000 market cap, but later briefly soared to $10 million.
