MEME.ZKWASM(), Delphinus Lab invites you to hack in a whole new way
Delphinus Lab, an infrastructure provider backed by top-tier investment firms including Binance Labs and OKX Ventures, has launched the world's first known open-source zkWASM virtual machine, offering developers the fastest way to connect browser applications to Web3.
Hackathons have always been at the forefront of innovation in the tech industry—where a group of tech enthusiasts gather to build the coolest programs in the shortest time possible. These are the moments people who dream of changing the world through code cherish most.
Yet, as hackathons grow increasingly common, questions arise: Have these competitions truly led to products that succeed in the market? And have they genuinely lowered barriers, enabling more creative minds to turn their ideas into reality?
Over the next month, we’re launching a unique online and offline hackathon unlike any before. This event won’t be filled with technical jargon or complex, brain-bending cryptography. Instead, what we need from you is creativity, original thinking, traditional programming skills, product development ability—and even the “salesmanship” required to bring a product to market. It’s still a ZK-themed hackathon, but different from any other ZK hackathon you’ve experienced before. Even if you’re a game developer without any Web3 background, or a creator with no coding experience at all, this is your stage.
Welcome to Delphinus Lab’s flagship MEME.ZKWASM() Hackathon (register here)—making games, launching memes, building ZK apps? Adults don’t have to choose. We want it all.

"We Want to Make ZK Hackathons More Fun"
Who are we? Delphinus Lab is an infrastructure provider backed by top-tier investors including Binance Labs and OKX Ventures. We launched the world’s first known open-source zkWASM virtual machine, offering developers the fastest way to connect browser-based applications to Web3.
The zkWASM solution supports portable compilation targets for multiple programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Rust, Go, Ruby, Swift, and TypeScript. With zkWASM, developers can build ZK applications with minimal code changes. By executing WASM code and generating zkSNARK proofs of its execution trace, developers can verify operations via smart contracts and easily deploy to any dApp. Furthermore, leveraging our innovative zkWASM stack, developers can create customized mini-Rollup services at the application layer, building dedicated App Chains in a modular fashion.

Delphinus Lab aims to lower the barrier for tens of millions of Web2 developers entering the Web3 space. Building on the plug-and-play capabilities of zkWASM, we’re creating a new kind of ZK hackathon—one where participants no longer need to wrestle with complex ZK circuits, intimidating ZK-specific languages, or long proof generation times. You focus solely on meme creation or game design; the rest is on us. We believe this is the true mission of infrastructure projects—to enable developers to build “invisibly,” creators to create “invisibly,” and everyone to focus entirely on crafting great applications 🤝
That’s why this hackathon isn't just for developers. Creators without technical backgrounds are welcome too. Influencers (KOLs) will join your team to amplify your reach, and if your project stands out, we may even support you in directly launching your own digital asset. We believe great applications should engage users and the market from Day 0. Curious about how this hackathon will unfold? Read on👇

Ready-to-Use Development Templates
The name Delphinus Lab comes from the Latin word for "constellation of dolphins." Cute, lively, joyful dolphins are also the mascot of our community. The theme of this hackathon is "The Adventures of Little Dolphin": Participants will use game and meme development templates provided by Delphinus to create content based on the dolphin character.

For participants in the gaming track, we’ll provide fully on-chain game templates, including complete baseline frameworks or simple game demos. Using hybrid off-chain and on-chain architectures, developers can deploy games on-chain with minimal friction, focusing instead on gameplay details and creative mechanics. There are no restrictions on game genres—strategy, action, role-playing, survival, and others are all welcome.
For the meme track, we offer integrated zkWASM templates that allow non-technical users—including KOLs—to one-click launch meme projects fused with diverse cultural elements. Using our templates, participants can freely express their imagination and creativity, simply reskinning or uploading memes to launch projects with near-zero technical overhead. While meme issuance isn’t restricted to specific blockchains, we encourage chains already supported by zkWASM.

Key Timeline
The online phase of the hackathon runs from October 15 to November 10. During this time, participants can form teams and begin building as information rolls out. From November 8–10, we’ll host a three-day in-person hackathon in Bangkok, inviting participants to meet our team and judges in person, refine their projects, and prepare for final submissions. Online voting for entries will run concurrently. On November 10, we’ll hold Demo Day.
How Will Projects Be Judged?
We’ll select 10–15 finalist projects, with final scores determined by a weighted combination of evaluations from KOL judges, professional judges, and community voting. Game projects will be assessed primarily on creativity, presentation quality, and popularity, while meme projects will be judged on storytelling, visual impact, and audience engagement. For more details, visit our hackathon website.
What Can You Gain?
We’re offering a total prize pool of $100,000 across both tracks. In the gaming track, three winning projects will share $50,000 in cash prizes. In the meme track, three standout projects will receive up to $50,000 in combined liquidity support to help launch their assets.

Who Are Our Partners?
We’ve invited leading institutions, major public blockchains, and renowned game projects to join as partners and judges. Our first wave of collaborators includes BeWater, SevenX Ventures, SUI, TON, Bitlayer, Manta Network, BounceBit, ABCDE, CARV, Matr1x, Blade Games, Cellula, and SUNDOG.
As the event unfolds, we welcome even more partners to join this journey and co-create a truly unique and imaginative hackathon. Whether you're a seasoned developer or a newcomer stepping into Web3 for the first time, the MEME.ZKWASM() Hackathon offers an exceptional platform to showcase your talent and realize your vision. Let’s ignite an unprecedented Web3 celebration together, powered by innovation and passion!
