On-Chain Data
Daily Transactions

By the end of 2024, daily transaction volume on the Aptos network experienced notable fluctuations, peaking at 326 million transactions per day on May 25, 2024. This surge was primarily driven by the popularity of the tap-to-earn game Tapos Cat and other gaming projects on the platform. This unprecedented level of transaction activity was achieved without any technical failures, underscoring the strength of Aptos’ underlying infrastructure.

Excluding the spike in May, the Aptos network showed steady growth in transaction volume from January to June, averaging around 1.5 million transactions per day. Spikes at the end of February and mid-March were attributed to internal load testing.
Daily Active Addresses
Trends in active addresses closely mirror transaction volume. Active addresses show a gradual upward trend, fluctuating noticeably between 200,000 and 300,000 per day. The most significant spike occurred in early June, surging to 500,000 daily active addresses. This jump was driven by the popularity of the tap-to-earn game Tapos Cat. Overall, the data indicates steadily rising user activity, with the brief spike in June adding momentum to this trajectory.
Summary
2024 was a year of rapid growth for Aptos, fueled by key technological innovations and strategic partnerships.
