Huobi HTX Makes Appearance at Istanbul Blockchain Week: Shaping a New Wave of Trading
Huobi HTX stated that Turkey has a growing cryptocurrency market and talent pool, and due to its connection between Europe and Asia, holds significant economic and geographic strategic importance.

From August 13 to 14, Huobi HTX, one of the world's top three cryptocurrency exchanges, participated in Istanbul Blockchain Week (IBW) 2024 as a sponsor and partner. By sponsoring and attending IBW, Huobi HTX aims to leverage Turkey—a fertile ground for crypto professionals—to connect with more projects, technical teams, and crypto communities, explore collaboration opportunities, and jointly advance innovation and adoption of blockchain technology.
During the event, Serdar Serdengecti, Head of Listing Operations at Huobi HTX, was invited to speak at a panel discussion titled "Ushering in the New Wave of Trading." Serdar is responsible for building strategic partnerships and expanding high-potential blockchain projects into Huobi HTX’s listing portfolio. With extensive experience in identifying and onboarding top-tier projects, he is committed to delivering exceptional user experiences and fostering a secure, inclusive Web3 ecosystem on Huobi HTX.

He stated that the "new wave of trading" represents a significant evolution in how people interact with cryptocurrencies. Huobi HTX is actively shaping this transformation through several key initiatives: 1. Prioritizing user experience by developing intuitive interfaces and providing educational resources to empower all traders; 2. Embracing innovation by integrating DeFi protocols and offering advanced products such as staking and margin trading; 3. Strengthening platform security through robust measures and cold storage solutions to safeguard users' assets; 4. Focusing on high-quality assets by maintaining a rigorous listing process to support more premium projects on Huobi HTX.
Serdar also highlighted emerging trends and technological innovations expected to reshape the crypto trading landscape, including mainstream adoption and institutional investment, advanced trading algorithms and AI, cross-chain and interoperability solutions, social blockchain projects like TON and Solana Blink, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and stablecoins, and increasingly clear regulatory frameworks.
In addition, the seventh edition of HackaTRON, co-hosted by HTX DAO, TRON DAO, BTTC, and JustLend DAO, attracted significant attention during the conference, drawing numerous attendees to the Huobi HTX booth for inquiries. The submission deadline for HackaTRON VII is October 22. The event will feature a series of innovation challenges, giving participants access to leading global crypto venture capital firms such as HTX Ventures and TRON DAO Ventures, while enabling broader industry connections, resource sharing, and collaboration to drive continued growth in the crypto sector.
IBW 2024 took place from August 13 to 14 at the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus & Conference Center, bringing together over 7,500 blockchain enthusiasts, industry leaders, and innovators from around the world, along with more than 300 international and local Turkish speakers. Attendees discussed key Web3 topics including AI, RWA, DeFi, regulation, and GameFi.
Huobi HTX noted that Turkey possesses a rapidly growing crypto market and talent pool, and holds strategic economic and geographical importance as a bridge between Europe and Asia. As Huobi HTX celebrates its 11th anniversary, the exchange remains committed to advancing the global development and adoption of cryptocurrency. By participating in IBW, Huobi HTX strengthens its presence in the Middle Eastern and European markets, attracting more users and partners from these regions to further its globalization strategy and explore broader trends in the evolving trading landscape.
