Riding Market Volatility: HTX Launches Ultimate Showdown Between Top Long and Short Traders
From April 19 to May 18, Goldman Academy and Lao Shier Research Institute, as champions of Huobi HTX's first "Strongest Trader" long and short competition, will compete in a one-month-long head-to-head battle, showcasing their trading skills and market insights.

To inspire investors with more diverse trading strategies and perspectives amid recent volatile market swings, HTX (formerly Huobi) has launched the second edition of its "Top Trader Long & Short Profit Challenge"—the ultimate showdown between champion long and short traders.
According to the announcement, from April 19 to May 18, Goldman Academy and Lao Shi'er Research Institute—the winning long and short teams from HTX's first Top Trader competition—will go head-to-head for one month, leveraging their trading expertise and market insights. With an initial capital of 2,000 USDT each, the winner will be determined by final returns.
Throughout the event, all trading activities will be closely monitored by HTX to ensure fairness and transparency. The traders will broadcast their trades live via HTX Live and the HTX community. They will also post at least one performance update per week. Community members can follow these expert traders in real time, learning practical trading techniques and risk management strategies.
Additionally, to encourage broader and deeper user engagement, HTX has introduced a community prediction segment. Each week, users can visit the pinned post under the topic "#NoMoreArmchairTrading: The Ultimate Long vs Short Champions Showdown!" on the HTX website or app community section to predict the top-performing trader of the week and share their bullish or bearish reasoning—participants stand a chance to share prize rewards.
Since launching the Top Trader Long & Short Profit Challenge, HTX has received strong market response, drawing widespread attention from trading enthusiasts and professional investors alike. During the previous 10-day inaugural event, total trading volume surpassed 251 million USDT, with team trading volume reaching 95.72 million USDT. The platform distributed 14,359 USDT in futures trial bonus rewards. Goldman Academy secured the title as top long trader with a 98.8% win rate, while Lao Shi'er Research Institute emerged as top short trader with a 97.9% win rate.
As one of the world’s leading exchanges, HTX remains committed to providing users with diverse financial tools and superior trading experiences tailored to different needs. By showcasing how elite traders interpret market movements differently, HTX aims to help community members identify new market signals and achieve wealth growth through smarter trading strategies.
