CertiK and Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligent backbone division of Alibaba Group, announced a partnership to provide blockchain security services for cloud-based Web3 projects.

Web3 developers can now leverage CertiK's end-to-end security solutions alongside Alibaba Cloud’s scalable, efficient, and secure infrastructure to accelerate their development processes and protect their applications and smart contracts.
Founded in 2018 by two professors from Yale University and Columbia University, CertiK is a pioneer in blockchain security. By bridging cutting-edge academic innovations with industry needs, CertiK helps enterprises build mission-critical software and applications in secure and correct environments, safeguarding the Web3 world. To date, CertiK has audited over 4,000 Web3 projects and protected hundreds of billions of dollars in assets from loss.
Cloud computing services have driven advancements in information technology over the past decade, with cybersecurity playing a critical role. New technologies are not ready for widespread adoption until their security is proven—this is precisely the advantage CertiK brings to Alibaba Cloud’s Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform. Blockchain is an emerging technology that opens powerful new pathways for secure, decentralized, and efficient distributed computing. The next step in cloud computing evolution lies in seamless integration with Web3 applications, smart contracts, and blockchains.
Through this new partnership, developers and enterprises will gain access to CertiK’s services and tools deployed on Alibaba Cloud for code audits, risk assessments, team verification, background checks, and more. CertiK’s smart contract audit service and Layer 1 blockchain audit service are now fully available on Alibaba Cloud. In the future, penetration testing and CertiK’s Skynetdue diligence tool will also be introduced, delivering comprehensive end-to-end security solutions on Alibaba Cloud.

Additionally, the upcoming Skynet vulnerability scanning tool will enable real-time code analysis and vulnerability detection, offering developers immediate monitoring alerts and remediation recommendations. Beyond integrating end-to-end security solutions into the platform, CertiK and Alibaba Cloud will jointly promote the sustained growth of the Web3 ecosystem through collaborative initiatives such as hackathons, developer education events, and application development programs.
