MoveBit and Aptos jointly launch CTF MOVEment security competition
The CTF (Capture The Flag) MOVEment security competition, organized by MoveBit and Aptos and sponsored by Aptos, will be held from December 11 at 10:00 to December 13 at 10:00 (UTC+8).
Organized by MoveBit and Aptos and sponsored by Aptos, the CTF (Capture The Flag) MOVEment security competition will take place from December 11 at 10:00 to December 13 at 10:00 (UTC+8). This event is co-hosted by Aptos, MoveBit, ChainFlag, and AptosGlobal, with sponsorship from Aptos.

This CTF MOVEment security competition marks the first event in the Move ecosystem focused on Aptos ecosystem security. As a leading public blockchain driving innovation in the Move ecosystem—with breakthroughs in consensus, smart contract design, system security, performance, and decentralization—Aptos has already attracted a large number of global developers and entrepreneurs building applications using the Move language.
However, developers working with Move currently lack sufficient knowledge of secure programming practices. Developers in the Aptos ecosystem need more education and heightened awareness around security. To address this, Aptos, MoveBit, ChainFlag, and OtterSec, together with Aptos Global and other members of the Aptos ecosystem—with Aptos as the exclusive sponsor—are jointly organizing CTF MOVEment, the first security-themed competition dedicated to the Aptos ecosystem.
The CTF MOVEment competition will be held online and operates on a registration-based entry model, lasting 48 hours in total. The event will feature 3–4 security challenges related to the Move language, with varying difficulty levels. Participants earn points for completing challenges, and the top four fastest solvers for each challenge will receive bonus points.
The top three participants with the highest scores will receive rewards of $1,000, $500, and $300 USD respectively, provided by Aptos. Additionally, the top three winners will receive exclusive mystery NFTs, while all participants who complete one or more Move security challenges will receive a commemorative CTF MOVEment POAP NFT.
Registration for MoveCTF is now open. Teams, individual developers, and Move ecosystem projects interested in participating or learning more about the event can visit this link.
