TechFlow, September 21 — According to The Block, twelve U.S. Senate Democrats issued a statement on Friday urging their Republican colleagues to allow bipartisan co-drafting of cryptocurrency market structure legislation currently moving through Congress. The statement was signed by a group of Democratic lawmakers involved in crypto-related affairs, including Kirsten Gillibrand (New York), Cory Booker (New Jersey), Ruben Gallego (Arizona), and Mark Warner (Virginia). Previously, this group had released a seven-pillar framework for regulating the U.S. crypto market, laying the groundwork for negotiations. Meanwhile, Republicans are pushing their drafted bill, the U.S. Digital Asset Market Structure Clarity Act, for Senate consideration; the bill has already passed the House of Representatives.
