TechFlow, September 2 — According to Crypto in America, as the U.S. Congress returns from recess, cryptocurrency market structure legislation is set to take center stage. The Senate Banking Committee is expected to mark up a discussion draft on market structure by the end of September, while the Senate Agriculture Committee will soon release a draft covering CFTC regulatory aspects.
Senator Cynthia Lummis stated that the market structure bill is expected to be signed into law by President Trump before this Christmas. Additionally, the Small Business Administration has ordered financial institutions to restore services for clients who were illegally "debanked," requiring relevant policies to be corrected by December 5. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has also publicly acknowledged abuses of power against certain companies during the Biden administration.
