TechFlow, Aug. 28 — According to Decrypt, Thailand's former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra met with a group of digital asset investors in Bangkok on Tuesday to discuss proposals for establishing Thailand as a regional digital asset hub.
Participating institutions included globally recognized digital asset firms such as Japan's Metaplanet, UTXO Management, Nakamoto Holdings, and Sora Ventures. Kip Tiaviwat, founder and partner at Kliff Capital, said the meeting marked the first milestone toward realizing the vision of making Thailand a Bitcoin and digital asset trading center within ASEAN.
