TechFlow, Aug. 27 — According to Jinshi Data, the European Union plans to accelerate its legislative process before this weekend to fully eliminate tariffs on U.S. industrial goods. This move aims to meet a precondition set by U.S. President Trump, who pledged to lower tariffs on automobile exports to the EU once the bloc removes its tariffs.
According to sources, the European Commission will also implement preferential tariff rates on certain seafood and agricultural products. The EU acknowledges that the trade arrangement reached with Trump favors the United States more, but maintains that the agreement is crucial for ensuring stable business operations. European Commission President von der Leyen previously described the deal as "imperfect but effective."
