TechFlow news, August 21 — According to CoinDesk, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated at the SALT conference in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, that the final draft of cryptocurrency market structure legislation will be submitted to President Trump before Thanksgiving. The Senate Banking Committee plans to pass the bill by the end of September, and the Senate Agriculture Committee is expected to complete its review by the end of October.
Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott said he expects 18 Democrats to vote in support of the bill. This legislation will be a key piece of law defining how the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) regulate the crypto market.
