TechFlow, Aug 16 — According to Jinshi Data, a person familiar with the matter revealed that OpenAI has successfully raised $8.3 billion in its broader $40 billion funding round. The fundraising comes as the company accelerates its business expansion. The source noted that OpenAI's annualized recurring revenue has risen from $10 billion in June to $13 billion, and is expected to surpass $20 billion by the end of this year. Additionally, the number of paid enterprise users for ChatGPT has rapidly increased from 3 million several months ago to 5 million. This funding round was completed ahead of schedule, with strong subscription demand resulting in fivefold oversubscription.
