TechFlow, Aug 15 — According to CryptoSlate, New York state lawmakers are considering a proposed tax on digital asset transactions. The bill was introduced in the state legislature on August 13 and proposes to impose a 0.2% sales tax on digital asset trades—including Bitcoin and Ethereum—starting in September. The revenue will support addiction prevention and intervention programs for schools in upstate New York.
