TechFlow news, on July 29, Ika Network officially launched on Sui and introduced its core object DWalletCap, ushering in a new era of Web3 interoperability by enabling Sui smart contracts to manage assets from other blockchains.
The launch of Ika allows developers to build applications on Sui that can manage assets across multiple networks, leveraging assets from the broader blockchain ecosystem. Before Ika, developers had to choose a single chain to integrate into their asset ecosystem; now, they can build projects on Sui and interact with multi-chain assets through Ika. Several ecosystem partners, including Native, Human Tech, Rhei Finance, Aeon, Nativerse, and Ekko, have already integrated Ika Network.
Built on Sui's high-performance architecture, Ika offers scalability of up to 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) and supports hundreds of signing nodes, delivering security under a trustless architecture. The successful launch of Ika further positions Sui as a decentralized cross-chain coordination hub.
Reportedly, as an innovative infrastructure based on multi-party computation (MPC) technology, Ika Network aims to solve cross-chain asset interoperability issues. The 2PC-MPC encryption mechanism is at the core of the network, enabling secure cross-chain interactions. Combined with Sui's consensus mechanism Mysticeti, 2PC-MPC makes Ika the first sub-second MPC network, offering both trustless security and exceptional scalability and speed. Earlier, Ika announced strategic investment from the Sui Foundation.
