TechFlow, July 22 — Bitget Wallet announced it has become the first cryptocurrency wallet to integrate Plasma, a next-generation Layer 1 blockchain network. Users can now connect directly to the Plasma testnet via Bitget Wallet and experience its low-cost, high-speed stablecoin payment environment.
Bitget Wallet features an in-app "Faucet Center" that allows users to claim XPL test tokens for free, enabling exploration of the Plasma network ecosystem and interactions. XPL is the native token of the Plasma network, used to pay transaction fees and priority processing fees. During the testnet phase, XPL will be used to simulate real transactions and incentivize user participation in network activities.
Officials stated that Bitget Wallet will also collaborate with Plasma ecosystem partners to launch incentive campaigns aimed at further driving user growth and ecosystem expansion.
Plasma is a Layer 1 blockchain designed specifically for stablecoin payments. It supports zero-Gas USDT transfers and allows USDT or BTC to be used as network fees, while remaining compatible with Ethereum development frameworks. Backed by institutions including Tether, Plasma is poised to become a key infrastructure for global stablecoin payments in the future.
