TechFlow news, June 20 — According to an official announcement by Coinbase, the company has obtained a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), enabling the exchange to offer its full suite of cryptocurrency products and services to the 450 million people across all 27 European Union member states.
The announcement stated that Coinbase will establish its European crypto hub in Luxembourg, a country that has already passed four blockchain-related policies. Over the past few years, Coinbase had secured licenses in Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain, and will now consolidate these operations under the MiCA framework.
