TechFlow news, June 19 — According to Protos, Pump Fun has rapidly expanded its legal team by hiring several senior attorneys from Brown Rudnick to respond to the class-action lawsuit filed by Burwick Law. The lawsuit accuses Pump Fun of selling "highly volatile unregistered securities" and lacking compliance measures, potentially involving transnational crimes such as terrorist financing. The Brown Rudnick team includes Daniel Sachs, former SEC expert in securities fraud investigations; Kyle Dorso, an expert in crypto litigation; and senior attorney Stephen Palley. Notably, Pump Fun responded slowly during the early stages of the lawsuit, formally hiring legal counsel only one day before the response deadline. Burwick Law currently represents over 500 investors alleging that Pump Fun operated a "pump-and-dump" scam. The case remains in its early stages, with no trial date yet set.
