TechFlow, June 18 — According to Decrypt, cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has filed a complaint with the CFTC Inspector General, accusing the agency's enforcement division of launching a seven-year "legal war" driven by career advancement rather than consumer protection. Gemini stated the entire investigation originated from a "lie-filled" whistleblower report by former COO Benjamin Small, who was later found by an arbitrator to have committed fraud. Despite this, Gemini ultimately paid a $5 million fine to settle the case.
