TechFlow news, on June 18, Bitget Wallet, a leading global Web3 wallet, officially launched a national-level QR code payment function, with Vietnam being the first supported market. Users can scan VietQR to pay with USDT at street vendors, convenience stores, and other locations, eliminating the need for currency exchange, offering low fees and a seamless experience.
This feature is enabled through collaboration with licensed payment institution AEON, connecting over 55 banks and payment systems in Vietnam. It supports major public blockchains including Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Base, and BNB Chain, with plans to introduce automatic conversion for any token in the future. From June 16 to July 30, the first 10,000 new users in Vietnam who use this function for the first time will receive 50% cashback (capped at 2 USDT).
As the world's first self-custody wallet natively integrating a national QR code payment system, this launch marks a key step in Bitget Wallet's global PayFi initiative, which aims to expand to more countries and drive cryptocurrency payments into everyday life.
