TechFlow, June 13 — According to an official announcement from Polygon, the company has released a scaling roadmap named "Gigagas," aiming to boost network throughput to 100,000 transactions per second (TPS).
According to the roadmap, Polygon will achieve scalability in three phases: by July 2025, transaction processing capacity will reach 1,000 TPS, with final confirmation time reduced to approximately 5 seconds; by the end of 2025, TPS will increase to over 5,000, achieving one-second block times and instant finality; in 2026 and beyond, the Gigagas upgrade will enable 100,000 TPS.
Polygon stated that this scaling effort will primarily focus on payments and real-world asset tokenization (RWA).
