TechFlow news, June 12 — According to CNBC, NBA star Shaquille O'Neal has agreed to pay $1.8 million to settle a class-action lawsuit stemming from his promotion of the now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX. The settlement is subject to court approval.
Earlier reports indicated that plaintiffs accused O'Neal of helping promote unregistered securities by presenting FTX as a safe and legitimate platform at events and on social media. O'Neal previously stated he was merely a "paid endorser" for FTX.
