TechFlow, June 11 — According to Jinshi Data, U.S. President Trump stated that it remains to be seen whether the Insurrection Act will be invoked regarding the protests in Los Angeles. He had held talks with California Governor Newsom a day earlier, saying, "California is in good shape; without us (the federal government), California would have been burned down. If there is an insurrection in California, I will invoke the Insurrection Act, and the National Guard will remain stationed in Los Angeles until the danger passes."
The U.S. Northern Command said that 700 Marine Corps soldiers have arrived in the Los Angeles area. On the 9th, U.S. Northern Command issued a statement saying approximately 700 Marines have been mobilized and will "seamlessly integrate" with the National Guard already deployed in the Los Angeles region of California to protect federal facilities and personnel. CNN reported that the deployment of an entire Marine battalion to Los Angeles marks a significant escalation in the Trump administration's use of military force to demonstrate strength against protesters.
