TechFlow reports, on June 10, according to CoinDesk, Société Générale's cryptocurrency division SG Forge announced on Tuesday its plan to launch a U.S. dollar stablecoin called USD CoinVertible (USDCV) on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains, with trading expected to begin in early July. The stablecoin will have BNY Mellon serving as the reserve custodian and aims to support various financial activities including crypto trading, cross-border payments, on-chain settlements, and foreign exchange transactions. SG Forge stated that following the launch of its euro-backed stablecoin EURCV compliant with EU MiCA regulations, the introduction of the dollar-denominated version is a natural next step, helping institutions, enterprises, and retail investors leverage the benefits of institutional-grade stablecoins.
