TechFlow, June 10 — According to TheCryptoBasic, SBI Holdings and its subsidiary SBI Shinsei Bank have announced a $50 million investment in Circle, the issuer of the stablecoin USDC, with each company contributing $25 million.
In March this year, SBI and Circle established a joint venture, Circle SBI Japan KK, to promote USDC adoption in the Japanese market. SBI VC Trade, the cryptocurrency exchange under the SBI Group, became the first platform in Japan to offer USDC earlier this year.
