TechFlow, June 10 — According to Jinshi Data, the U.S. Department of Justice requested the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Monday to extend the stay of execution previously issued by a lower court on May 28, which had invalidated certain tariffs.
The U.S. government stated that the ruling undermines the president's ability to conduct foreign policy. The Federal Circuit Court may now rule at any time on whether to suspend the order during the appeal process, which could last several months.
The U.S. government also said that if the appeals court lifts the current stay, it will turn to the U.S. Supreme Court.
