TechFlow news, on June 7, according to Guangming Network, Wuhan Dongxihu police recently dismantled a fraud den hidden in a rural area, arresting 32 suspects, with 20 criminally detained by police. According to interrogation, the fraud gang fabricated "rich and beautiful" friendship scripts, exaggeratedly showcasing virtual currency investment returns, then lured victims into investing on their fake platforms. The scammers used carefully crafted scripts to warm up and build intimacy with victims, then flaunted their fake "investment" profits. Once victims became interested, suspects would send fake investment URLs, inducing them to purchase virtual currencies and invest within the counterfeit platform. The returns were fully controlled by the scammers, but "withdrawals" could never succeed. The case is currently under further investigation.
