TechFlow news, May 30 — According to CoinDesk, non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace OpenSea has officially launched its upgraded platform, OpenSea2 (OS2), to the public. The platform now supports token trading across 19 blockchains, signaling a strategic shift from NFTs toward a broader cryptocurrency market.
OpenSea co-founder and CEO Devin Finzer said OS2 serves as the foundation for OpenSea's next-generation platform. The company also introduced a rewards program called "Voyages," through which users earn XP points by completing basic activities, which may later be used to qualify for anticipated airdrops of the native SEA token.
Chief Marketing Officer Adam Hollander stated in a blog post that the OpenSea Foundation will not conduct a token generation event (TGE) until after a series of product launches, with no specific release date currently set.
