TechFlow reports that on May 28, according to the "Crypto in America" newsletter, leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives plans to introduce an updated version of the digital asset market structure bill during a "pro forma session" on Thursday, May 28, 2025. Widely seen as the foundational regulatory blueprint for America's $34 trillion cryptocurrency industry, the bill will be formally submitted during a procedural session while lawmakers are in recess.
Previously, a discussion draft of the bill was jointly released by senior Republican lawmakers, including House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill. The House Financial Services Committee is scheduled to hold a hearing on the updated bill on June 4 and may proceed with markup consideration on June 10.
