TechFlow news, on May 28, according to an official announcement, the Dong Nai Provincial Police in Vietnam recently cracked a major cryptocurrency fraud case. Led by Nguyen Quoc Hung, the criminal gang established a cryptocurrency trading platform named "Matrix Chain" (MTC), luring over 138,000 accounts nationwide with promises of high returns through a multi-level marketing scheme, involving up to 394,276,762 USDT (approximately 10 trillion Vietnamese dong).
After nearly 200 days of investigation, police launched coordinated operations across multiple locations on May 19, successfully arresting five main suspects including Nguyen Quoc Hung. The gang used "SafePal" crypto wallets to transfer funds and invested illicit proceeds into assets such as real estate. The case is under further investigation.
