TechFlow news, May 18 — According to Crypto.news, NFT sales rose 17.16% over the past week to $130.7 million, with the number of buyers increasing 138.96% to 259,264 and sellers growing 98.69% to 137,347, while transaction count slightly declined 1.14% to 1,498,668.
Ethereum remains the dominant blockchain for NFTs, recording $41.3 million in sales, a weekly increase of 21.47%. Bitcoin surged to second place with $22.6 million in sales, up 53.53%. Polygon dropped to third with $14.5 million in sales, down 22.85%. Mythos Chain ranked fourth with $13.3 million in trading volume, followed by Solana in fifth with $8.9 million, up 17.31%.
In the NFT collection rankings, Courtyard on Polygon maintained the top position despite an 31.02% drop in sales to $11.7 million. Bitcoin's BRC-20 NFT climbed to third with $7.1 million in sales, up 107.81%. CryptoPunks rose to fourth with $7 million in sales, up 97.09%. XSY Deposit, a new series on Avalanche, entered the rankings at fifth place with $6.8 million in sales, achieving a growth rate as high as 469.59%.
High-value NFT sales this week included Known Origin #30101 sold for $410,532, CryptoPunks #3281 sold for 148 ETH (approximately $384,286), and CryptoPunks #1507 sold for 80 ETH (approximately $204,711).
