TechFlow news, May 13 — According to South Korean media outlet SBS Biz, the "Real Korea" election campaign committee of South Korea's Democratic Party of Korea established a Digital Assets Committee today. The committee will be divided into two subcommittees: the "Industrial Innovation and Growth Committee" and the "Policy and System Support Committee," dedicated to promoting the development of the digital assets industry and user protection.
Min Byung-deuk, chairman of the Digital Assets Committee, stated that the digital asset market has become an important part of South Korea's national economy and emphasized comprehensive efforts to establish a "Digital Asset Basic Act." Committee members include representatives from major South Korean digital asset exchanges such as Upbit, Bithumb, Korbit, and GOPAX, as well as multiple experts from academia and research institutions.
