TechFlow news, May 9 — According to Jinshi Data, U.S. Commerce Secretary Lutnick recently stated that trade agreement negotiations with Japan and South Korea will take longer than the recently concluded U.S.-UK framework deal. He specifically noted that India has been "working very hard" in negotiations and is likely to be the next country to reach an agreement, although challenges remain due to approximately 7,000 tariff adjustments involved. Additionally, Lutnick emphasized that the 10% base tariff set by the Trump administration remains the "bottom line," and countries must actively open their economies to qualify for tariff reductions.
