TechFlow news, April 30 — According to Bitcoin Magazine, El Salvador's Ministry of Education and the Office of the Bitcoin Strategy will jointly launch a financial education program for students aged 7–13 with The Little HODLer project. Named "What Is Money?", the initiative will first pilot in 50 public schools in La Libertad province, involving approximately 1,000 students.
The curriculum will deliver three hours of weekly instruction on Bitcoin and financial literacy, integrated into the national social studies curriculum. Students will learn foundational financial topics such as the history of money, budgeting, and saving, as well as the significance of Bitcoin as a financial innovation. This program extends El Salvador’s ongoing investments in Bitcoin education, following previous initiatives like the Bitcoin diploma course for high school students and the CUBO+ scholarship program for university students.
