TechFlow, April 28 — According to Decrypt, Swiss supermarket chain Spar plans to roll out Bitcoin payment services nationwide. The project is technically supported by crypto payment company DFX Swiss and has already completed pilot programs at two stores in Zug and Kreuzlingen.
Customers can use DFX Swiss's OpenCryptoPay platform to scan a QR code at checkout via the Lightning Network. According to data from BTC Map, a directory website for Bitcoin merchants, more than 600 businesses in Switzerland currently accept Bitcoin payments.
