TechFlow, April 23 — According to FinanceFeeds, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim recently held high-level talks with Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) to discuss accelerating Malaysia's digital economy development. The meeting focused on establishing legal, technological, and regulatory frameworks suitable for blockchain integration, aiming to position Malaysia as a regional hub for blockchain technology and digital asset innovation. The Securities Commission Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia, and the Ministry of Digital will play central roles in this initiative. Discussion topics included tokenization, decentralized finance (DeFi), and the digitization of financial instruments, while the government also plans to explore blockchain applications in areas such as supply chains, healthcare, and public services.
