TechFlow, April 22 — According to a report by Sina Finance citing CCTV International News, Columbia University economics professor Jeffrey Sachs said in a recent interview that over time, the U.S. share of the global economy is declining, and the dollar will no longer be the world's primary currency—an unstoppable trend. Sachs stated that the United States has weaponized the dollar, frequently leveraging its dominant position to threaten other countries and disrupt trade, forcing them to gradually abandon using the dollar for international settlements and turn to other currencies instead. Sachs also predicted that in ten years, the role of the dollar will be incomparable to what it is today.
