TechFlow, April 13 — According to CoinDesk, Katelyn Perna, Chief Information Security Officer of Robinhood Crypto, said the crypto industry's goal should be designing tools that make cryptocurrency accessible, secure, and simple without sacrificing self-custody or decentralization.
As the crypto industry matures, much of the focus remains on regulation, custody, and scalability. But in 2025, the biggest barrier to adoption isn't policy—it's user experience. Crypto interfaces remain too complex for everyday users. Onboarding still feels like navigating a maze rather than joining a financial revolution—from managing seed phrases to deciphering blockchain transactions. Wallets are still fragmented, unintuitive, and risky. To achieve mainstream adoption, the industry must prioritize usability—making wallets and financial tools more accessible—without compromising core decentralized principles. Until then, poor user experience will continue to hinder cryptocurrency’s growth.
