TechFlow news, April 12 — According to OpenAI's official update log, GPT-4 will be retired from ChatGPT and fully replaced by GPT-4o starting April 30, 2025. GPT-4o is OpenAI's newer native multimodal model that consistently outperforms GPT-4 in writing, coding, and STEM tasks in head-to-head evaluations. Recent upgrades have further improved GPT-4o's instruction following, problem-solving, and conversational flow capabilities. GPT-4 will remain available via the API.
