TechFlow news, April 8 — According to Decrypt, on April 7, cryptocurrency lawyer James Murphy filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), demanding the release of documents that could reveal the true identity of Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto. Murphy's lawsuit is based on a 2019 statement by senior agent Rana Saoud, who claimed that DHS had interviewed Satoshi Nakamoto in California and understood how Bitcoin works. Murphy is requesting that DHS disclose all related records, including scripts, interview transcripts, and other evidence, and stated that if denied, he will continue pursuing the case until the mystery of Satoshi Nakamoto's identity is solved.
